A Message from the Thomas Jefferson Partnership Fund

TJ Alums! Support TJ by dusting off your math skills and knowledge. The Thomas Jefferson Partnership Fund (TJPF) is holding a friendly contest to see which of two famous mathematical constants our alums prefer, all the while helping the school.

The question is simple: π or e! 3.1415926535… or 2.718281828…. Archimedes or Euler! Take your pick.

To vote on your favorite, visit our site! Select a quantity of pi’s or e’s that you want to support, and contribute that multiple of your preferred number to the TJPF. You could vote as little as $3.14 to support one unit of π, or contribute $2,718.28 to support a thousand units ofe. The competition will continue through 3/14. (Get it, π!)

You may have already seen our postcard in the mail! The first quarter of the competition has come to a close and here’s the score so far:

1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
Team π 95
Team e 29

Thanks to all those who have already participated, contributing $377.26 to support TJ. Let’s show more alumni support for TJ and run up the score (for both sides)!

We’ll recognize the concept with the most units voted as the winner, and help our TJ along the way!
